No chance to work in SA, unless you have a valid work permit that is impossible to get as a foreign pilot.
Cheaper than many Countries to build up hours, so if you need this is ok.

As written above...if you have 500hrs, or better 800hrs, you can try your luck. There are still companies who have Airvan/C206 and hire pilots to start flying piston before moving to turbine

I would not say is hopeless, but you get bigger chances if you have it! For those Countries you have to have the "training" endorsed on your logbook, with stamp and instructor signature

In Botswana you have to pass only the AirLaw exam, not impossible but you need to study some notes that most of the pilots in Maun will have it
I know tha Mack Air and maybe Wilderness Air are...

A friend of mine should go to Canada to pick up an aircraft and fly to South Africa. He’s got a South African CPL and the aircraft is C- registered. He tried to contact the Canadian CAA but no answer...
