Near Miss - Brussels Oct 5, 2016 - Report Released

An investigation of the near collision tween an Aer Lingus and Air Dolomiti at Zaventem last year has been concluded by authorities

They have found that the Air Dolomiti crew were unfamiliar with Zaventem and when asked to hold before takeoff due to the landing Aer Lingus flight, they misunderstood what was asked of them and started their takeoff roll anyway and narrowly missed the Aer Lingus which was quickly instructed to abort landing and go around by ATC
