I am planning to design two softwares for twin otter operators,

1. Operations ERP - this would be the software which comprises of your day to day operations and intend to developing it end to end covering all the operational metrics i have got a rough idea of the plan and here are the departments i have created in the initial project draft
Sales module - Quotes and confirmation
Planning module
Crew rostering
Dispatch
Quality and Compliance
Finance and Accounts
Human Resources

2 - MMS ( Maintenance Management Program )

Scheduled Maintenance
Unscheduled maintenance
EMMA programs (Equated Maintenance for Maximum Availability).
Inventory management
Purchasing.

I intend to design this based on an opensource platform as an open source software so that everyone could use this software free of cost and would be posting the links here once ready ;-).

I need help from all of you in terms of contribution of ideas and the valuable experience that you have gained with the twotter over the past 48 years of operational excellence. I would like a clear picture operational process flows, maintenance programs, audit programs, CRM, SMS, experiences, difficulties, screenshots of programs that you use, details on all the aspects of the operations so that it could form the basis of this software which would help us twotter lovers. As DHC6 aircraft is unique and versatile i would love to see inputs from both the wheels side and floats side, so that i can include both these aspects in the software. i am hoping that after i get all the inputs, design phase will commence and release a beta version for all of you to test. estimating a two month requirement/data collection period ie i will start the design 2 months from now based on how this thread goes and will be followed by the first release and after we iron out the bugs with all your help will move on to the stable release, I call upon for help from all of you in the operations related to DHC6..... lets be part of something which makes this legendary aircraft of ours ever more desirable in the present and the future .
