Question ACAS/ASAS

Not sure on the difference between these. I know that the only proper implementation of ACAS is TCAS, but I cant find any linkage between ACAS and ASAS.

Also, I was wondering if any TCAS versions or modifications could use ADS-b in over 1090, or if they are stuck with mode A/C and S.

?????
