Plane Hits Light Pole

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world...cid=spartandhp

A plane hit the light pole, pictures included in the link. Light tower and light pole are both used to describe the ground accident.
A plane carrying more than 60 people hit a light tower at an airport in Australia.

The Cobham aircraft, which was carrying 62 passengers and crew, collided with a light pole while taxiing at Perth airport this afternoon.

"I've had the unfortunate experience of flying with the same airline in other states of Australia - I'm not getting on another Cobham plane."

Watching the clip, I'm surprised that they didn't call it an air disaster! What a load of exaggerated tosh!

Now c'mon everyone it's a bit of excitement at the normally quiet PER, let's exaggerate as much as we can. There never is much "news" on Channel 9.

Goodness! If that's what just "hitting a light pole" looks like, I dread to think what crashing into a terminal building might be like.
