Drone near miss Liverpool today 4/9/16

A commercial a/c going in Liverpool declared a near miss with a drone this afternoon...same height 1500ft and less than 100 mts away...pilot est 6ft dia.

How long is this nonsense going to be allowed to go on.

Its only a matter of time I fear.

When an engine swallows one and causes 000's of £ or € of costs, and pax delays or cancelled flights etc. the poo will hit the airco.

Not the point at all.

The decision to open the thread might well be based on apparent immediacy.

I looked at it TODAY. Look at the date on my post.

See?

Heaven forbid that we should open a thread that turns out to be yesterday's news.

Presumably you haven't looked at

http://www.pprune.org/rumours-news/5...lapse-dxb.html
http://www.pprune.org/rumours-news/5...ce-center.html
http://www.pprune.org/rumours-news/5...-air-prox.html
etc

None of which were accompanied by any indication of the event date. Presumably the OPs in each case thought we would be able to work it out for ourselves. ...
