Post SWA off taxiway (again)...

from SWA's Facebook:

STATEMENT ON FLIGHT 4695:

This morning, Flight #4695 leaving Islip for Tampa exited the taxiway during taxi from the gate. The aircraft had 129 Customers on board, and there were no reported injuries. The Customers deplaned the aircraft and were bussed back to the terminal where a replacement aircraft will take them to their original destination. Maintenance crews are working to move the aircraft and evaluate it for any damage.

During radio communications with air traffic controllers, one of the pilots of Flight 4695 announced that “we just made your day more interesting” after the plane became stuck.

“We just taxied off the taxiway into the grass,” the pilot said, according to a recording posted to LiveATC.net. “We’re going to have to get the people off the aircraft and something in here to tow the aircraft onto the pavement.”
