Indeed correct. But the avherald article was factually based on the BFU report, which was in turn based on the FDR data. When it comes to incident reports and safety, no airline has the right to protect the public from the truth.

As an aside, I seem to recall, racedo, that're your rather fond of spreading online malicious comment, slander and innuendo about another Irish airline...

BOAC, exactly. It seems many ppl here think that if I say someone is an idiot, then it is on that person to prove otherwise... That's not how burden of proof works.

My understanding is that there is no real issue with what Simon posted but rather with parts of the comments by some individuals in the attached blog.

I don't post on Simon's blog because it is not really a blog but more an information website. If I want to post on an aviation blog I will do it here.

The question is whether if he stopped the reply channel we would still read his postings. I definitely would.

Seems like everyone who's said the same has assumed the AvH report was an accurate representation of the BFU report. Did anyone check this, or did they just assume Ryanair was wrong? The BFU report is deceptively complex, and it takes a lot of reading to understand the detail.
