Sky Europe @ Manchester (Impounded)???

I am told Sky Europe OMNGD is parked on the West Apron at Manchester with an airport vehicle parked behind it.

Surely not a second airline gone in a day??? Does anyone know any information?

***Second NE aircraft just arrived next to the first and also had a vehicle parked at the rear of the aircraft***

It's a fact that it's financial - trust me. Not rumour or my Mother's Cousin's budgie. Otherwise no more news. This is not the first airport. Flights not released (yet!)

WTF is going on?

Am I the only one who is amazed at Manchester's quick reactions to (allegedly) impound aircraft when they are unable to get most escalators, walkways and lifts working for months on end?

I can't wait till the Tattoo and Piercing Shop opens in T1 Departures...

Cannot understand the need for an airport vehicle behind the aircraft to "block" it in on a push-back stand. Last time I looked - didn't really think it was practical to reverse a 737 on reverse thrust!

One aircraft now departed, other one will not be too far behind. Perhaps the airport were collecting in outstanding fees. Can imagine they are a bit jumpy at the moment on that score.

Paddy Power have just suspended betting on SkyEurope after the price fell from 9-1 to 6-1.

ETA: Now reinstated but down to 4-1.

ETA2: Now 5-2. Plenty of PPRuners with PP accounts?
