Vienna Airport closed due to emergency?
Apparently an engine failure. Anyone have details? What airline was it and any ideas what happened?

IB MD88 with 122 on board suffered tyre on explosion on departure from VIE; debris ingested by engine. While attempting to return, also experienced LG problems; performed airport flyby and subsequently landed safely.

There is designed into the doors a metal skid which intentionally allows the doors to drag on the ground after a manual deployment. Aerodynamics allow the doors to keep clear until after the aircraft speed decays. There will be no serious dama.ge to the doors
