Engines Making Metal - EC-130T2's

Wanted to see if anyone else is hearing issues with EC-130T2's having issues with the engine making metal?

I previously worked for a large tour operator in Vegas with a solid safety and maintenance record.

We had a few different T2's start to make metal in the 2,500-3,000 hour range. Not just a little fuzz either. Two aircraft had to be lifted out from remote areas. IIRC, around 25% of the T2's developed issues in that time range.

I've now heard that this particular operator has limited the usage of the T2's due to these problems. No more night strip tours in T2's, only B4's.

Any other operators having issues?
