Well,
with plenty of other landingspots available the question could be, why block a fairly busy the road with cars (with one leaving the blocking position before the helicopter was airborne....) instead of using a farmroad or field?
But well, nothing happend and its russia.....

FB i think with the snow the priest would get wet messy feet and on the tarmac it is nicer.
Also it is a better surface to land on than the deep snowy field's unknown surface ?
(just don't forget the wires)
