When I saw the headline, I thought it referenced the incident in NYC last night or so when an NBC chopper stayed overhead and used their powerful camera to zoom in and get footage of two perps on top of a building shooting a laser at them. They radioed the police and hovered till they arrived.

The footage further showed police arriving en mass and affecting the arrests.

Regrettably, the story mentioned that the chopper was on the way to cover an arrest, which is quite simply a silly use of non-renewable resources and further proof (if needed) that the line between news and entertainment has vanished.
