Type rating AS350 - where?

Hi,

I'm in rather urgent need of an AS350 type rating (within a week or two). Any suggestions on where to get it is greatly appreciated. I've checked with HTA in Portugal (no aircrafts available until October), Kallax (same story). Elite helicopters in the Uk has a brand new b3e but at a high price. What other options are there?

Sorry I have no answer for you but i was just wondering about HTA in portugal: do you have any idea of how much they charge you for as 350 training?

AS350 Type Rating

Hello DonQuixote23,

Cotswold Helicopter Centre in Cirencester at Cotswold Airport offer AS350 type ratings in their AS350BA. You can call them on this number and they will be able to help you out if you require it urgently.

01285 719222

I hope that helps and you can get a type rating done soon.

As far as the UK is concerned, the following document is always quite useful.

Thanks for all your suggestions. After having called around quite a bit I am now booked on a course with EHC in Norway starting Monday. First turbine - it will be exciting. A bit of reading to do though. The 350 POH seems to be a little thicker than the Schweizer's...

Singesavant: They offer the course on a B2 for 7700euros. I did my typerating there, and I was very happy with them. Experienced and professional people.
