EASA LEVEL D FFS

Hi all,

This subject as already been discuss but... Here it goes.

On the AgustaWestland webpage:

Rotorsim - AgustaWestland

We can read:

(Full Flight Simulators (...) FFS standard (Level D) (one hour of simulator training equals one hour helicopter flight).

This means I can now log Level D FFS time on my Total Flight Time?

I can not find nothing saying yes or no on EASA.

If not, how come can they say this?

Thanks and safe landings..

Flight time equates to time spent in the aircraft.

FCL.010 refers.

Flight time equates to time spent in the aircraft.
That means sitting in the aircraft 9 to 5, reading a good book, gives me 8 hours flying time?
I guess it's better specified in the FCL.

Thanks, but I do know the definition of flight time very well for along time.

My question is because AgustaWestland and Rotorsim wrote that FFS LEVEL D Time equals real Helicopter time.

If this comes to be true We All can log those hours.

Looks no one found yet noting saying yes or no.

Anyone from Agusta or Rotorsim here?

Thanks.

There was nothing in your post that suggested that you did know the definition, however well or for however long.

You are, of course, free to log what you want. Whether or not you can include FFS time towards the flight time requirement for the issue of a licence, rating or certificate, well..... give it a go and see what happens to your application.

When you are on AW139 type rating course, you fly 10h in FFS LEVEL D and 2h on the real aircraft (necessary 12h of flight hours according to PART FCL), so the answer could be YES.

But...if you look at JAR-FCL (or EASA) flight logbook, the column for FFS/SIM time is on the right side and it doesn't count to your Total flight time, so in this sense, the answer to your question is NO. IMHO.

Thumbs up

Thanks Pete for your answers. And yes, initially you could think I did not know the definition.
I will not log as obvious.

And Jet Ranger. Good examples.

Thank you also.
