EASA add a ME to your license

Hello to all

I would like to ask all of you for your oppinion.

If a pilot has or had a ME (Multi-Engine) helicopter type rating on his/hers EASA license how many hours of practical flight will he require to add another ME helicopter type rating.

Will require the full practical course or because of the ME experience will only require 3 + 1 hours according to AMC2 FCL.725(a) Requirements for the issue of class and type ratings_(d) Additional types.

Thank you all

You should also follow the requirements of the OSD for the type (if they exist).

My reading of the AMC is

MET(H) to MET(H) flight instruction (excluding skill test)

In helicopter only
3 hrs

In helicopter and FSTD associated training Credits
Using FFS C/D: At least 1 hr helicopter and at least 4 hrs total
Using FTD 2/3: At least 2 hrs helicopter and at least 5 hrs total

Hi Pete
The OSD is not mandated under EASA yet - although some individual authorities feel differently. The OSD system is a complete clusterbollock at the moment.
Cheers
