Heli Charter launches DHL service in UK

Just noticed that DHL service has been launched by Heli-Charter with a Bell 206B, nice one guys.

DHL in the states are using Helinet with AS355N around the LA area....strange that they use a twin and we use a single

Cheers

Good luck. Did this back in 1998 from Battersea to Hthrow. Late transfers of docs.( day light only!!) Hthrow causing arrival and departure delays and weather soon stopped that service. 🚁

Los Angeles is an AS355F2, not an N

New York is a B206L1

and a B206B

and now London is a 206B too

Shame DHL made such a hash of their press release for the new London service!

According to the Financial Times, the 'trip from Heathrow's cargo terminal to a helipad on the Isle of Dogs will take 20 minutes in a helicopter, compared with the two hours a car takes to make the same journey, and a motorbike is even quicker' (sic).

Could be poor sub-editing, but if not, I'd love to see the on-bike footage of a public-road journey from Heathrow to the City in 19 minutes...

You have to be of a certain vintage to get that one. A fondness for crap 80s TV would also help.
