FAA IR(H) Training Provider
I'm looking for recommendations for places to do an FAA IR(H).
I can't seem to find a specific recommendation in the training thread.
(maybe someone can post a link if there is a relevant thread)
Specifically I am looking for an organisation that offers:
- High end instrument instruction (i.e. does not use newly qualified pilots to teach IR course. Rather, they have instructors with past experience in the IFR world)
- If possible, offer part of the course in a simulator/airplane
- Can facilitate training for, and completion of, the FAA ATP check ride
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

The catch is always that an FAA IR course is always done on a non-IFR certificated helo (R22,R44 IFR trainer), so you can never experience actual IMC. Likewise, CFIIs having done everything in an R22/R44 lack experience from actual IFR operations.
I did my IR at Cloud 9 heli in Florida and I can recommend it. Geoff has actual experience from flying an IFR-certificated A109.
