Fire truck v's Police heli - fire truck wins !!

A couple of vids of a fire truck driving past a rotors turning Police heli in Santiago, Chile :

The links don't seem to be working any more, but a quick visit to Liveleak will show the two vids. See if the Youtube links work:

I couldn't see any threads relating to it on here, but will delete if appropriate.

I get the feeling the pilot may not have been at the controls when the fire engine tried to "sneak under" the turning rotors??
Let's hope/pray that everyone outside the twirling mayhem was able to take cover before the inevitable ending.

Edit, after closer look at video. There appear to be two people close to the Starboard side at about 1:50, both walk away by 2:00 although one appears to walk back by 2:06, just before the engine hits at 2:11. I think s/he is seen running away down right, i.e. towards camera, after the impact.
Quite a few risk-assessments missing on that street, I'd suggest?

Another view from a nearby car. I don't think that I'd be hanging around to watch those blades at close range

Why no instant engine shut down? At the beginning, the Rotation wasnt really quick, so centrifugal forces could habe been handled.

Pilot incapacitation? Around 6 second mark and again at 12 seconds there seems to be a white helmet in the cockpit but it has the appearance of being moved as the machine spins.

I don't think they are wearing white helmets:
