'Total' noncompliance with N Sea clothing policy

Did anyone else notice the faux pas advertisement from Total in the P+J yesterday - the very day they carried the HSG articles about '3 layers and no hoodies under your survival suit'. Shows spiv in office suit waistcoat, no survival gear, excitedly pointing out of cockpit as he overflies installation. Very good! Would have posted a copy, but I dont seem to be able to post - it was on P17

You would think that if that was the case then he may have realised that the instruments suggested that the aircraft was still on the ground with the enging off !
How much do these media luvvies get paid for such poor work ? Clearly too much.

I think - though stand to be corrected - that helicopters sometimes fly in places other than the North Sea

Or Heli-Union pilot wearing white shirt with bars, and wearing MK28 lifejacket.

More of a crime are the tramlines on the short sleave shirt - time for a new house maid

Not to mention the sterile cockpit policy and the floats armed policy recently introduced by the CAA as he appears to be below Vy, in fact he appears to have no discernible airspeed.

Shock, horror! An ad in the P&J gets people in a tizzy. Film at 11, now here's Carol with the weather.

Good to see the Twin Huey re-introduced into the North Sea, though.

diginagain;

Carole with the weather? What ever happened to Heather with the weather? (and the glorious Jackie Bird?)

Suppose they're too old now, I left ABZ in 1999.

The drilling rig could be anywhere, but the LNG facility certainly isn't North Sea.

Heather the Weather is singly responsible for the rating "Most Miserable Ethnicity" that the UN awarded to the Scots, and Jackie isn't quite as 'glorious' is she once may have been - too many Hogmanay outside broadcasts.

Rig could be anywere

Quick search on Rigzone.com "rig data".
Jack-up hired by Total.
Yellow hull only of Saipem
Total is only hiring Perrro Negro 2 from Saipem.
As confirmation square lattice legs indicate a Le Tourneau rig

Location UAE

Cheers SLB
