AW139 FMS Question

Hi Folks

I have a question that I hope someone may be able to answer?

I currently fly the 139 and I take the takeoff and landing times for a flight from the Flight Summary page in the FMS. There are times when the landing time is missed and I want to know if its possible to retrieve the last landing time once airborne again?

I have looked in the FMS manual associated with the Primus Epic software but there is nothing about retrieving previous data?

It would be helpful if there is a way, if not I will keep sharpening my pencil!

Cheers all,
pp

Suppose one could download the FDR, though that seems a bit more labor intensive than a sharpened pencil or ingraining the habit to check the thing before doing PERF INIT again.

I think he means - he forgets to write it down after landing, then loses the info. We did the same thing with the UNS-1, but once you left the summary page that was auto generated on landing, you lost the info.

If you have HUMS you can check it once it is downloaded to the Ground Station. It will show your take off and landing times for the whole Operation.

The Honeywell FMS manual provides the information on accessing the Flight Summary page.

Go to NAV INDEX Page 1 or PROGRESS Page 3.

You can access it in flight and the information (except for the Fuel Used value) is saved after shutdown.

You can also program the FMS to automatically display the FS page on landing, but that information costs beer!

Lots of beer!

My guess is that the OP is doing rotors-running turnarounds, so he needs to remember to call up the FS page, but is forgetting to do so.

While beer and personal visits are effective at prying out all sorts of useful engineering resources, some poor people have noooby as their engineer (I used to be one of them).

Whenever the temperature is above about -7C that fellow is wearing shorts, and you really don't want to look at those knobby knees any more often than is absolutely necessary.

So proceed with caution. In the OPs position, I'd keep a keen point on my pencil.

And you are correct, beer doesn't work with me, unless it is Speights Old Dark, but Chechel cheese might

Your on the ball Geoff, its the old North Denes training coming out in you!!

HLCPR - I have spotted the setup in the FMS manual that allows you to view FS page on landing for 15 seconds...I will therefore drink my own beer lol!

Anyway chaps its official from Agusta! you cannot retrieve the last landing time once you lift off again...therefore I will have to sort my @@@ out and review FS page

PP,

The Flight Summary Output(FS) does not disappear after 15 seconds (as per the manual) with Phase 5 or later.

If setup correctly via the Maintenance page under NAV INDEX it remains till you take it out or select another key.
