Cougar Wins Contracts East Coast Canada

Big announcement yesterday for Cougar in St. John's, won long term contracts with Exxon, Suncor and Husky.
Additional S92s to be added to the fleet!

Can we expect a hiring boom for Cougar any time soon ?? I'm sure there'd be plenty of interest especially if they're touring positions....

What to expect ...

Good equipment and top notch maintenance. Good training. Below industry standards remuneration package for flying in one of the most hostile territories on the globe ( Extreme weather conditions including icing, low-level jet stream, low visibility approaches onshore and offshore, low water temperature, sea state and distance from shore). Mind boggling mis-management of human resources. Envy and resentment from the local administrative staff and local management. Hey, did someone open a can of pilots? Lots of nepotism and backroom deals. Nearly 30 pilots left the company in the last 5 years. Travel to Lafayette for sim training every 90 days on your time off, paid as overtime. Staying with 4 other guys in a disgraceful crew house or one of the shabbier hotels in town. You are sharing bathrooms at the crew house! Usually 2 long offshore flights per day (rigs are 200 NM offshore). No facility for proper rest on long weather hold days. It's all going to change with the new contract they say ...
