It would appear that 'industry insider' has removed his ball from the game and departed from the field following his last visit at 14:26.

I wonder why?

Oi Moderator WTF!

this was a perfectly civil thread that I found very useful and enlightening,

There was no name calling or other intolerable use, all claims were backed up by facts and when errors were pointed out the posters had the self confidence to admit their mistakes like gentlemen....

what did anyone do wrong?

It does seem a bit strange. II's location is now listed as:

Not on PPRune anymore

But (s)he didn't delete all of his/her posts and threads when (s)he went. Just some of them.

Maybe the mods can resurrect some of the better bits from the previous thread? SPlot - any chance?

Jimf671,

It wasn't the moderators, it was the thread initiator.

Unfortunately, the mods had kindly consolidated several AW189 threads (incl. AW189, AW189 in service and AW189 Demonstrates 50min Run Dry Time) before industry insider deleted the original.

All seven pages of the thread are cached, in case needed.

(A couple of threads that hadn't been consolidated are also still there: AW189 First Maiden Flight and Bristow Signs Contract for 6 AW189.)

The laws of unintended consequences!

Following Ian Corrigible's suggestion, many AW189 threads were merged earlier this week. Unfortunately the thread starter of the merged thread chose to express his feelings about PPRuNe by deleting his post and thus all the valuable contributions already posted.

I have restored the thread since it is too valuable to lose.

Thanks SP - a number of us had invested quite a lot of intellectual time in that thread.

Sorry AW189 contributors, while Industry Insider no longer wishes to hang out on PPRune, deletion of the thread was an unintentional and unrealised consequence of a cleanup which has been underway for some time, this thread being missed in the first round. It can't happen again as the Mods have now banned II from the AW189 thread to protect it.

Mods, II would be happier of you deleted the username and content as requested sometime ago, its time to move on. Good luck to you all.

It gets even stranger. II rises from the dead and then starts referring to themselves in the third person.

Have we entered the Twilight Zone?
