Sad news indeed. I spent an afternoon flying with Graham in his Alouette around the skies of Leeds. Taking off from his garden was a surprise

Was checking the machine out for a mate who was thinking of buying it. Graham
made me and the missus very welcome.

I'm sure there will be plenty who knew him far better than me but he seemed very much larger than life.

Baron Snook the story

Graham was made a baron by the Rumanian authority's many years ago for being one of the first civilians to go to Rumania on aviation business after purchasing 10 plus. Rumanian made allouette 111 helicopters

Although he never used the name we all called him the leg end
Which was the way the Eastern Europeans spoke the word . LEGEND

Rip mate

Very sad to hear that. I never saw Graham without a smile on his face, and his traditional "Ey-up Steeeeevie" whenever he heard me on R/T always brightened up the day. See you in the next life, fella.

Fly in in remembrance

I new the man for almost 30 years and in all that time never saw anything beat him, i flew with him many times and he with me we both had a passion for flying in anything and everything, auto gyros, helicopter, hang gliders, we have flown side by side in almost everything including fixed wing. I am proud to had him as a friend in truth i would have loved to have had him as a son, i will miss him forever.
Graham's birthday was the 6th of September so in remembrance of this very special aviator i would like to suggest that on the first Sunday of September of every year we all who new him, and also anyone that didn't, fly in to or just visit Breighton airfield and celebrate the life of this extraordinary man. all interested in this suggestion post it here.
Snooky my friend i hope your final dream was a good one and may it last into eternity.

What a great loss! I've been putting together an Alouette II here in Phoenix and his support was wonderful. Always quick to reply with the right resources, an honest gentleman and a never ending love for the Alouette's & Lama's. I will miss him as I'm sure those of you that knew him will.

RIP Graham. Shocked to here the news. One of the few people I met in my short flying experience who was willing to put himself out to help others. I owed you a lot for your help and your friendship. Lovely man who will be sadly missed. Jimmy, Ged and Paul.

Baron Legend fly in

I know we will have to talk with poeple at Breighton but i would like to set a day in September that will always be a Snooky day every year. Anyone who is going to his funeral on the 29th at 11.45 we can talk then, we who new him well know's there will never be another "Baron Snooky Leg end" characters like Graham do not come around so often these days the system dose not allow it but we the grass roots of aviation love em, so even though Graham body has left us lets keep the spirit the Legend alive forever.

Personally I like the idea of having it on the Breighton helicopter day.

Big Loss

For me it is like for all of you, a GREAT loss of a GREAT man
Graham was like a mate for me, and I was flying with him to Breighton couple of times. This spring we should fly his Alouette III on Icland, but did not reach because both of us was so stressed with our projects...
I was in Grahams wedding party short time before christmas, and he was sick, but acted like more healty than ever, so he newer gave up!
I work with the same Alouette restorations for my self here in Norway, so if
it will be a Snooky day I will probably fly to Breighton and join
RIP my friend.
