New Pppruner say hello

Hi all! I found this site browsing the web and after reading some time have found it to be very interesting, so I decided to register and become another member of this family and wanted to say hello to the community.

I'm still looking around at the page layout so my apologies if this thread is in the wrong place.

Welcome Modtro... why not tell us a bit about yourself? Are you a rotorhead? A crusty old-timer (sorry, experienced and highly qualified pilot), or a private pilot or a student?

Just remember, you can ask a question of ten helicopter pilots and get eleven answers.

Cheers

Whirlygig.

You are being modest... if you ask two heli pilots the same question, you might expect at least 10 different answers preceeded by the same or more amount of questions.

Hi, and thanks for the warm welcome. I'm not of the old crusty higly experience species, not yet, but aiming to get there one day if I'm not called to a better place in advance. Have been so far a little bit around the planet and got some experience but there is still a lot more to do and learn. And yes!! I'm another heli PILOT! but of the modest ones that says to the public... I'm a driver

Correct! To be fair I am no longer on the oily side either, I recently left aircraft engineering after nearly 17 years, 12 in the RN, 4+years in North Sea O&G, lots of studying and ££'s for my CAA license only to be made a more attractive offer by an Oil and Gas company.
Miss the banter and people, don't miss the shifts!

Don't be offended by my opening comment, just tugging your cyclic!

Welcome Modtro.

As advised above .... take care.

If accused - say nothing!
If they have pictures - deny it!

Thanks for the good advice guys and gals! As soon as I have some extra time available I'll be sneaking around here more, I really enjoy reading most of the treats... yeah yeah, we all like rumors... As for now I'm busy studying for the ATPL and converting my license. Afterwards the hard stuff... Finding a new job!! A great weekend for everyone!
