Judging by the paint color I'm assuming it is something "Russian", so maybe it could be "bef"

VF, if you don't mind me asking, what exactly is that cloaked in red at the top of the dam in post 4470? It would at first appear to be a person, but that wouldn't seem to be so given the scale of the buildings to the right. Sorry if I'm just clueless, I was born that way.

Carbon,
You must have a very small screen, or very poor eyesight, it appears to be a large red box-like structure, and appears to have a light on the top.
It could be as high as 2-3m.
Maybe an electrical controls box?

@Fleigle - you meight to need to get new glases or a bigger monitor as well ;-)
The construction, a box on legs with a flag on top seems like more than 8 to 10 meters tall - cause you can pass underneath ....
Compared with the roads and cars on it, quite a big construction

Its a bloody great big red box then, usefullness unknown.
I may need a bigger confuser screen AND glasses, as I don't see any vehicles.
Anyhow, a digression from VF's most wonderfull pictures, as ever, thank you.

Take a look on the left side / road.
Two cars on the right lane (in the shadow).
And I guess, you can cross the damm - driving underneath the big red box...

Tip Strg (or CMD for the Apple user) and + zooms in, using most browsers - so you donīt need to buy a new monitor

Could the "bloody great big red box" house the lifting mechanism for the spillway gates?

Nah, I reckon it is merely a modern version of the water driven prayer wheels so common in the mountains. Think of all the good prayers and vibes that will be floating around when the water goes over the wall!

Aaaargh fleigle..........I think that's damn close to the winning answer
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes Flying Bull.........that's a red hot answer, probably the hottest one thus far
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello Ancient Rotorhead.....a very matter-of-fact answer for the Anciently Wise one; a bloody great big red box; love it 10/10
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey SRFred..........philosophically speaking, the deepest answer of them all - a Prayer Wheel actually I have no clue, as I just overflew whilst transiting
