Good morning young fellow! Watching the TV program(Everest Rescue) I noticed one of the pilots(Ryan) using what appears to be an iPad or tablet computer. He was able to enter all sorts of relevant details such as altitude, temperature, wind, etc., and it comes up with some serious answers including fuel required.

Is the program proprietary software, or something that he has developed himself? Do you use such a program, and if so how useful is it? Cheers mate.

G'day Old Farang.......Yes Mate there are a number of good apps that do all those magic tricks for you, making life easier & maybe safer I use the ole brain & draw on experience to decide what & how I'm gonna do a mission, but it's a very specialist niche here If I was anywhere else on a new aircraft I'd definitely be in deep into the RFM & the apps to aid me

Hey Zoombywoof......Yep, it's a very clever, you've gotta look twice to see the double image being presented

VF, If I may say so, your photographs are utterly stunning - what an incredibly beautiful part of the world. One thing slightly puzzles me is why so may of the buildings have a bright blur roof. Is it something cultural?
PS PLEASE keep them coming!
