RH or Jet Blast? An everyday story of simple countryfolk

Previously on LOST......

When I left in the early hours of this morning this thread was starting to look absolutely top, now I'm back home and have settled down with my tub of popcorn I find you've all become sensible, calmed down and deleted your postings, how disappointing (and might I say eminently sensible......)

Same here, just starting to enjoy it have everyone let their hair down, along comes someone and gives every one a haircut.

I'm still trying to work out whether the combatants were tongue in cheek or tongue at the point, all in the punchuation I think.

I do hope they haven't been banned from coming back and giving the rest of us a liven up from time to time, which we often need.

I received a very aggressive PM the other day from TC ( calling me rich bitch etc etc ) . I tried to PM him back to explain or at least make sure each of us knew we were just having a laugh . The system would not allow my message to go to him as he has barred it . He is quite within his rights to want to burn IK and anyone else who has made mistakes , to the stake . But when I get abusive private emails from fellow ppruners it rather takes the fun out of it . And don't get me wrong ...I love dishing it out But I also think its fair to say that I can also take it in good spirit and am always happy to apologise ( just as I did to TC about his 5'4" stature ... Once was funny but I accepted that more than that it becomes personal hence I said I would bite my lip in future )
Anyway bye for now ..you can have him ....
Topend ... As with most things I do , it was all meant to be a wind up but it appears TC has anger issues . I guess we all get grumpy with age

No probs, I enjoyed it immensely. He'll be back - underneath I see a very capable fellow. I wonder if he spent any time flying real helicopters?.

NigeH: When you start using language like: "I'd like to kick the s*it out of you" and "C'mon, see you outside"...it's past "having a laugh". It's not the sort of behaviour I expect to see on Pprune, nor targeted at me. You're making it far too personal and have done since you (and a.n.other) went for me on a couple of other threads a while back. It's as if you are tracking me
I have been on Pprune for 13 yrs and not once have I come across such outbursts.
Enough is enough - it seems that the moderator thinks so too, as he (without my input) pulled both of your posts. I certainly had no intention then, of allowing you to continue with your vitreolic diatribe bombarding me with private messages. Understand this Nige - heated discussions - yes, following me around a public forum constantly trolling me - not interested. Try and stick to the matter at hand.

Flighty Puss (whatever!): Do you have a problem accepting the fact that IK is a dyed in the wool crook? Please, for my benefit - show me where I have "nearly slandered" IK? [Did you not read post #124?]. Get real.

Topend,

"underneath I see a very capable fellow. I wonder if he spent any time flying real helicopters?"

If you know him (TC) you'll know of the serious and very real helicopters he flew, both for the British military and the british police. he has been instrumental in many of the improvements to police flying and procurement, and continues to play a serious role in flight safety and training.

TC - I have had a similar relationship with Nige(H) ever since I was apparently too "Pussy" to fly in an ash cloud. Despite repeated clear explanations that in the NS we simply followed our instructions as good soldiers he still likes to bring it up at every opportunity.

On this thread he has repeatidly explained that he is quite prepared to bend and break aviation rules because he beleives they are either flawed or do not apply to him. He also claims to be a CFI. I am sure the CAA are reading his statements with interest.

Proffessional pilots are just that - PROFFESSIONAL. We follow the rules, apply the procedure and place our considerable faith in the system that we have self elected to be part of. Sometimes things go wrong and we spend considerable time and money to analyse why and effect change where appropriate.

What Nige(H) appears biologically incapable of accepting, is that without rules and procedures to follow, no base line is established and therefore we cannot control the outcome or make sensible change when things go wrong.

Iain King broke the law. In doing so he breached the trust placed in him by the CAA. His transgression may cause the CAA to react and tighten up those rules and regulations that Nige(H) hates so much. Nige(H) is not capable of processing this kind of connection. If he was he would not try to defend the actions of the very people who will eventually make his life more restrictive, more difficult.

So TC relax in the knowledge that his childlike approach to this thread will ultimatley feed the beast that causes him so much pain!!

I don't post often however:-

I for one appreciate Nigelh's input on these issues as his upbringing shows some common sense on these issues rather that paper pushing rhetoric that some of the more institutionalised members show towards these issues.

additionally, i do not think Nigel's posts should have been / censored deleted, we need some common sense and creative input on this formum otherwise we'll find ourselves back in the 1930's again!

Furthermore his sense of humor makes Pprune what it is!

Senior Pilot, is it worth closing this thread? It seems to have lost its way and seemingly serves to be a receptacle for mad ramblings from unknown infrequent contributors who don't seem to have added constructively to the forum in years.
Move on night owl.....stay on subject....look into my eyes........

my recent posts related to my observations over the years no more!

endorse that . . . you read enough of him across his many posts
and you hear a steady voice there. (Thinks - where does TC
really work? For the regulator?)

So, for the record, I too have received unsolicited, unprovoked and extremely aggressive PMs from the unfortunately insecure and bitter TC, who clearly has some form of superiority complex. Actually, I can live with that; everyday I'm surrounded by people with tiny brains who rely on huge egos, borne of an aptitude that they can't help telling everyone about.

But why can't there be a bit of humility and collegiality? There are many very experienced and talented PPRuNers (such as SASless, Shytorque, etc.) who don't feel the need to attack fellow and well intentioned PPRuNers, regardless of their experience and knowledge, even though they may not have fully grasped a particular situation. If there is a PPRuNer whose intent is honourable, but may need some education, so why not try and help them instead of flaming them? Support them with the benefit of your experience in a friendly and helpful way; you might eventually even earn some respect

If that's not a sound and totally reasonable expression of opinion I don't know what it is. Any person who believes it so in their heart and is verbal and conscious enough to be able to relay it to anyone who may be in need of a little
sage advice in their shell-like will be doing a service. And in a sense justifying their existence.

Sweet oil and a feather far far better than a clout.
