29th Oct - BBC Radio 2 Phone in
Jeremy Vine is asking listeners to call in if they have ever been scared by the pilot's flying in a helicopter that they have been flying in. (After the report on the RAF Puma crash)
It's on between 12 and 2 pm
May be worth a listen ?

What an utter load of drivel and mis-information. Vine owes a major apology to those of us who earn a living from flying helicopters. What an utter C***.
The R22 pilot who e-mailed needs a substantial kick in the balls. Because he chooses to fly like a prat doesn't do the rest of us any favours at all.
Sensationalist utter c**p. There are some mighty angry pilots around here right now.

Listened to the broadcast and it would seem that we are constantly striving to find a new low in sensationalism. The radio host obviously knows very little about helicopters and some of the pax that called in, even less.

Now Now boy's!!!!!! you know the golden rule of journalism......never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
It would be a bloody boring show if everyone phoned up to say they had a nice time and thier G&T did not even get spilt!!!
Better put the blame on the crab **** who trashed one of HRH's finest pumas than Mr Vine who is dining out on the aftermath!!

Not going to listen to that one, based on the posts.
But the only person I've ever scared in a helicopter was me !

What a prat - "Opens with "it killed the twelve crew on board" - he later corrects this, but that's what will stay in many people's minds.
For the record, two were killed in the crash, and another died later in hospital.

A touch sensitive I fear.
Yesterday morning, senior captain to oil company ops cell,
Good morning, I'm the driver going to the Whisky.............
I do enjoy working with pilots with a sense of humour and a firm grasp on reality.
