Military Contracting

Nowhere was the civilianisation of military flying services more obvious than in the helicopter fleet.

"Mexican Bob" is a real person....but the photo is not of his pickup as the photo is way too upscale and has no Redman chewing tobacco juice streaking down the sides of the door or dripping off the mirrors.

As Birddog made a personal pitch for me to once again step up to the plate and provide a photo.....I was away sailing and had other draws upon my attention at night....I delayed.

Now that I am back in port for a few days....here goes.

Sqn CO: I say Flt Lt you do the the crew sched. How come nobody will fly with me ?

Flt Lt: Well sir your last Co pilot is still classed as mentally unfit after your last flight

Sqn CO: but if I don't get my 10 hrs of airtime by the end of the month I will loose my flight pay.

Flt Lt: Sorry sir I don't see how I can help

Sqn CO: If you don't get me in the air, you are fired !

Flt Lt: Wait I have an idea.....

During these hard times even the defense forces needed to find creative ways to cut back on costs yet maintain operational flight hour requirements.

The modern Air Force comes up with eco-friendly ways of testing the Radalt.

slight variation on pohm1's post: "No, private, you can NOT log 'pilot 12th in command' time!"
