PPI Zulu

do you mean "do you have a 139 Tail Rotor.........."
Now, now! That's how an aircraft can get a bad rep......next thing some journo makes a program called 'AW139 - the widow maker' and all 139 drivers have to reasure their other halves everyday for a month about how safe it is...no, wait, hold-on...better make that 'Westland Lynx - the widow maker' - too much chance of being sued over a commercial cab!

Point of order Gentlemen. Technically that SkyShuttle AW139 tail rotor is not lost, it was found, al-be-it at the bottom of Hong Kong Harbor Many of us however are still waiting to find out how it came to need finding in the first place

Dauphin pilots

to those of you who still pay attention to company own websites for vacancies - don't - they're normally too max'd out to update page.
Take NHV for example -
Phone NHV direct if you are a Dauphin IR-rated pilot, preferably with offshore experience and can obtain a JAR ATPL.
They are continually winning contracts and will always have a requirement. You could be helping their ops/hr department out and actually doing them a favour - but you ain't heard it from me right!

They are going to love you for that Julie! They will need to hire and extra person just to answer the phones now with all the enquiries - a CP's nightmare.

Horizon

Why do you have to be a US citizen to teach on the 407 at Horizon....what does it take some extra special skills that only the US trained pilots posses

Seriously though, whats the go?

Thumbs up

Julie,

I think you will find that NHV's database is quite healthy with over 1000 applicants on file.
Saying that they are always looking for the right people to fill posts when they are available.

...do you work for horizon?

...so then Fluffy - do you work for Horizon or have they promised you a finders fee?

What's all this about ex-US when the the 'brochure' says:
...specialized in training students for Helicopter & Fix Wing according to the European Joint Aviation Authority (JAA) style curriculum...
Anyway, check out post 982 + 983

Do you know if there's any room to manoeuvre in the minimum quals? - I'm almost there!

There are two different positions. 1) bell206 any Icao licence experienced instructor roughly 35,000aed. 2) bell407 only requiring ex us military 47,000aed. reason is the uae military ghq have there certain departments that require their parties to go to one or the other. you have to be there to understand the ever entertaining politics.
Anyhow contact robin smith who is in charge of the overall recruitment.

good luck...... Innnshaaallllahhhhh

How much?!!!

Thanks for the reply Fluffy - that's cleared things up a bit.

Please tell me you made decimal point mistake with the salary? 35,000AED is only about £5900 / $9500 - that's about how much it costs to run a car for a week in the UK!!!

"You've obviously never been to the Middle East."
...very true, no further then the beaches of Sharm El Sheikh.

So I'll delete my mental picture of waving palmtrees, clear blue water

and bikinigirls. *sigh*
