Changes afoot at ADA:
Air Training department; 2 retirees.
Rotary Wing Chief Pilot; retiring to take up a ground position.
Engineering Dept; 3 resignations.

More to come as the General Managers policy of "No over 65's in the Company" kicks in??!!

Fixed Wing Pilot License requirement

In the application page for 'FIXED WING PILOT', it says Unrestricted ATPL(H) is required!

"Pilots applying for the above categories must possess an UNRESTRICTED ATPL(H) WITH A VALID INSTRUMENT RATING AND A VALID CLASS 1 MEDICAL for that license".

Do all the Fixed Wing pilots need both ATPL (A) and ATPL (H) for applying the Fixed Wing pilots job at ADA?

Angry

I'd perhaps try and have a chat to engineers currently employed at ADA before making any rash decisions

True ... I heard about the HR 'person' a few weeks ago ... it was only matter of time ... especially with all the 'labour court' cases that are pending ...

Engineering Manager (is that D.W. ??) ... that seems to be a regular thing every few years (give or take) ...

Don't panic folks ... nothings going to change

The hangar boys call management the seasons, because they are always changing.

Thumbs up

That happens when you are so busy finding ways to fill your pocket instead of looking what is really going on in the hangar...Unmotivated Eng´s ,Rotation 56 days on 28 days off with only 3 days rest throughout the entire rotation, understaffed, LAE´s leaving the company, contracting Eng´s to fill Supervisores slots instead of promoting Eng´s that have been at ADA for more than 10 years.

I SPEAK for all Pilots and Engineers when i say goodbye D.W

Just hope the new DM will be more understanding.......

Waver old chum ... your very damning (but very accurate) ... however you missed the bit about being part of the 'Canuck Mafia' and the protections (he thought) that conferred ...

The funniest thing about his demise is how many people are ecstatic about it, not only those who suffered from his meglomania but also very senior members of outside agencies who also thought of him as an idiot!! but had to deal with him as ADA's representitive of Engineering, even saw some very senior AW Execs today laughing and smiling, what a legacy to leave behind ))))

Let's hope the new falcon regime which promises to change the world does so. Early reports arent pointing in that direction though.

ADA will not move forward unless they recruit engineers that are adequately qualified, especially for the Engineering Director's position.

They are trying to recruit permanent engineers on a salary that is poor and with 1 day off every 2 weeks.
Contract engineers are on $60 per hour, 50 hours per week, & 2 days off every week!
They are on a higher salary than the 145 manager!
Why would anyone go permanent?
