AB206 TR Blades
Hi guys I need a set of AB206 blades. Can't fit Bell ones apparently although I'm going to unleash scrappy do shortly to sort that one! Does anyone know of any kicking about in the meantime. Paperwork is also required with them! Please PM or email me. Part life ones may suffice!
A few years back there was a place that had loads of AB206 spares but I can't for the life of me remember where it was!

Hi Guys, thanks for all the leads so far. Certainly something for me to go on next week. STC wise it seems that most of the alternates have only applied for Bell, not AgustaBell in their paperwork. Can't find anything anywhere that allows crossover but I'll keep looking.
Please keep those ideas and info rolling!

I would very much doubt you can use mil stuff. From memory, even the part numbers are different.
From memory (I sold my AB 10 years ago when the problem became apparent re fitting Bell parts to Agusta Bell machines), there was a process whereby if you bought a new Bell part, shipped it to Agusta, they would then inspect it and issue the appropriate EASA Form 1 to allow you to use it. I can only imagine that this comes at a cost....but it might be your only alternative.

For sure they will have spare tr blades but I don't know how the certification process will be.
Ps: I fly a bell 206 ( very far away from Italy) and we recently changed the tr blades to the new design with a swept back tip. They are more powerful in the sense that they provide more thrust that the normal bell 206 blades but the aircraft becomes more twitchy in yaw, more like an as350.

we recently changed the tr blades to the new design with a swept back tip.
I can't think of why the dynamic components can't be used between the Bell/Agusta-Bell aircraft. There are slight differences in the airframe, so one has to be particular with the serial number break down in the IPC for ordering airframe items. The running gear should be interchangeable, within the parameters of JetRanger 2 and JetRanger 3.
The breakdown only differs by s/n of the aircraft.
Perhaps the rules different in Europe than North America.

Hi Helicopterray, i think that it is exactly a difference of rules between one country and another. I know in NZ and Oz that people just go by pn for aircraft that are built by OEM or under licence. We have people operating all sorts of licence built aircraft, 206's, 300's, 500's etc, and all just use whichever parts they can get hold of.
I believe that in the UK the CAA has said that it is an Agusta 206, therefore parts have to come from Agusta, even tho the parts are actually manufactured for Bell.... just bureaucratic bollocks trying to make aviation more expensive, but not increasing safety!

Hi All, thank you for the continued help and input. Based on one post above I'm thinking Leonardo make have taken their new stance so they can part out all the old Italian machines and make $$$ - or maybe that's just the cynic in me?
I'm might be being a bit dumb but what are Leonardo saying? That they cannot supply blades at any cost?
