B737NG COWL VALVE OPEN AMBER TAI

Hi

Had this recently. Why is there no lead to take you into the QRH. Cowl Valve open is blue which is advisory, not issue. Amber TAI does not produce the Master Caution Light? Boeing mistake or should amber TAI be Memory item then.

Regards

Pin - Without this sounding too horrible, for someone who claims to fly the B737 you surely don't know a lot about it. I'm guessing tech knowledge is not your thing?
The Master Caution system gets the attention of the pilots if the fault light (if applicable) is not in the pilots view. Any light in plain view is not indicated by the master caution.

If you read the QRH condition statement it will mention the Amber TAI. The options are ENG Anti-ice is ON or OFF.

Memory items are not applicable as it is not safety related.

Indeed, dodgy English. My mistake- typing away half cut.

However, You claim to be a 10000TT pilot with a few thousand hours on B737 and B756, but still, don't understand the basics?

I understand not everyone is technical minded, however, Pins experience and the questions he/she asks don't match up.
