FCOM/ QRH

I am writing concerning the Airbus philosophy to keep changing the QRH and FCOM, and your opinions. Informally also it seems the digital format and the QRH paper becomes a part of the past.

Boeing seems to understand the keep it simple stupid KISS philosophy better, than Airbus.

Do you think the recent changes in the Airbus QRH and FCOM are an improvement or not?

Do you find the changes better on the iPad or digital tablet.

When will be the next Airbus change in FCOM/ QRH ?

Weather Radar on all flights during taxi.

For example EPWS warnings and MEM, are no longer in the QRH but moved to the FCOM in a new SURV section.

Hello,

I quite like it the new change in Fcom and QRH; it’s more user friendly imho. Even so it annoys me they change it all the time. But for once I’m quite happy about it.

For the weather radar our FCOM says to set it ON but our QRH and SOPM say as required.
Already had this intense discussion before. Some airlines insist to have the radar on all the time, others like mine use the radar when it’s required to preserve the mechanism from wear and tears. We only set the radar on during taxi if we suspect bad weather on route. In winter time for short medium flights with sky clear, we don’t set the radar on at all.
