LVO and braking action
Gentlemen, good morning.
The company I am employed by, operates B737.
There is a limitation in our SOP stating that:
- minimum required braking action for CAT II/III autoland is braking action "medium".
- minimum required braking action for LVO take off is "good" when taking off with RVR less than 150 m (125 m) for CAT D (C) aircraft.
Although I understood the reason for such restrictions, I tried to find where did these limitations come from. I didn't succeed.
So, my question is: "Do your SOP's have similar limitations whereby LVO operations restrict acceptable braking action?"
Thank you!

I've no access to current SOP's but offer a possibility. Many XAA's leave such matters to the operator saying, "the operator will decide what BA is required under LVO for takeoff & landing, and under differing RVR's and inform the crews. They will also decide and inform the crews if auto braking affects the required BA."
Juts a thought as this applies in various areas: i.e. it might not be an EASA/FAA thing as it could vary type to type and not be a blanket matter.
