LGW airside transit: aircrew to passenger

I am planned to operate into LGW from a place in EU/Schengen, and would like to catch a flight home (EU/Schengen) quite shortly afterwards.

Would it be possible to leave into the terminal with our PAX and stay airside, walking gate-to-gate? My ticket is with EZY and I am already checked in, carry on baggage only.

Thanks.

No, you need to 'land' and clear customs/immigration, proceed landside then come back airside through security.

So I thought. Is the pax bus still an option, or shall I head for Atlantic House?

You could try the "Gatwick Connections" Security search facility near Immigration, it offers pax a Transit experience...you have an onward Boarding Pass, so there's no reason to be denied access. The issue was, you have mixed with "dirty" pax when you operated inbound, the Gatwick Connections Security search cleanses you from that misdemeanour

Made it Luckily both A/C were at the South terminal, took me 30 minutes gate-to-gate at max continuous. A police officer who invited me to a priority lane at security upon re-entry made this possible. Gatwick Connections ladies were nice, but with no bags to collect or check and 40 minutes to departure, I was not "their material" just yet.

Excellent. It's a pity Dublin can't offer the same, except at times when it suits them. A totally useless DUBHUB experience last time I tried it, never again.

It had dawned on me later, there is no shame for Gatwick not to be "transit optimized" for Schengen <> Schengen. I mean, just by looking at the map, nothing too intellectually daring.

But DUB for transit where from/to?

It was an experiment of mine last year. LGW-DUB-ALC with FR on two separate tickets, of course. The cost of both was less than LGW-ALC direct and I was looking forward to a pint of Guinness during the transit. However, DUBHUB security was closed when I got there so I had to exit the building and come back in through Security again. Just managed to make my connection, won't do that again!
