Weather forecast accuracy

The TAFs for the Balearics seem to consistently understate the likelihood of TSRA for the associated airfields. Is there any way to find out where these TAFs are produced and to ask for a more realistic product?

Some years ago I did a study of the accuracy (or otherwise) of Met forecasts, comparing the forecast wind, vis, cloud & temp. with what actually occurred. It turned out that the accuracy was about 63%.
Make of that what you will. Was it good enough ? Was my study properly conducted, or exhaustive enough ? Who cares ?
I don't know. But, what do other professionals think ?
