Weather Evaluation

Dear Aviators,

I know most of you have had meteorology classes but I have seen some people having their own individual techniques/quick checks when it comes to making sense out of the weather. Below are some examples:

1. The difference between temp n dew point to assess possibility of fog
2. Vertical Wind Shear enroute to assess the 'bumpiness' of rides (3 or more)
3. The time duration of TEMPO period to assess the severity n prevalence of adverse condition.

Anyone else wish to contribute? Thank you.
