Changes to a Synthetic Vision Layout

Hi all,

After researching Synthetic Vision displays it seems apparent that there is one 'fixed' layout for all these displays (with small changes depending on the company who designed the display).

Focusing mainly on the primary flight display (IAS, AOA Indicator, Roll value, Altitude, Multi-modal ND ect), my question is why there is no variation in this layout? Why do we use 'IAS and Altitude strips' rather than just having our IAS and altitude values placed on the screen 'as a value' therefore clearing up clutter on the screen?

Cheers!
