SUP PEOPLE...

DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THE AIR LINGUS APPTITUDE TESTS ARE LIKE???

WHAT THEY CONSIST OF??

AND HOW CAN YOU PREPARE FOR THEM????

DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANY OTHER SITE APART FROM SHLDIRECT.COM FOR APTITUDE SITES BECAUSE IT IS CURRENTLY UNDER MAINTENENCE....

Pretty straight forward really. No preparation required. Some maths questions, relatively easy but time is a factor; some visual recognition problems (kind of like 'spot the difference' Reasoning problems: read a paragraph and choose the right inference/ conclusion/ assumption from a choice of 4.Finally psychometric testing. 100 questions to determine whether your fit to fly tin or whether you resolve grievances the Air Botswana way. One tip with these questions: answer them honestly, even if you conclude that your answers make you look dangerous to employ.
all the best, and if you get an interview make sure you tell them how much you want to live in Ireland. In fact make up a relative or two in Dublin.
Tip before your interview: show some aptitude and learn how to spell Air [sic] Lingus

What kind of maths questions are there??

Do you know of any web sites which are similar to www.shldirect.com, I cant seem to locate the address for the RAF site which has some aptitude tests on it.

Anyone recommend anything??

Are the questions multiple choice or freehand answers??

1)It's Aer Lingus
2) The maths are things like 345 x 45 or 276/8 or 123-103. Not tricky but time consuming without a calculator. And that's the point. They want to know how many you get through in 6 mns.
3)All the answers are muli choice.
4} Don't know of any sites to help you with. Truth is, you can't really prepare given the nature of the questions.

Is the Aer Lingus cadet testing going on now? Or are you just preparing for when they release their sponsorship again? Thx

Well they release their sponsorship...jus trying to prepare a few months in advance, so I will be as ready as I can be..

Not recruiting at the moment though...

By the way does anyone know if Britannia run a Pilot Sponsorship at all?

Can anyone give any more information, as what to expect in their selection tests?

I know the maths part....

P.I.A., there's critical thinking analysis tests, mechanical reasoning and also a psychological test (to which there are no right or wrong answers).

The test (CEP) is about 4 hours in total. There's not a whole lot you can do to brush up beforehand (other than blag some aptitude tests of a school or college careers officer, or someone else who might have them), but there is an article on the main Pprune site which outlines the selection procedure from aptitude test to final selection.

As Barhiggins rightly points out, answer the final section truthfully - they'll find you out later on anyway! ;)

As for the spelling thing, remember the airline's code is EI, never call them 'AL'!!
