Britannia - Start Date at last

Well i got my phone call yesterday evening. Feb 24th start date with base to be confirmed. I'm expecting a contract in the post Mon/Tues.

I must say it's been a long time coming, but worth the wait.

Just for those interested:

1700 TT
Passed IRT on March 16th 1998.
Two years Instructing
Aged 29
In Hold Pool since Sept 2001.

Good luck to every one else.

Well done!

I think the market is really swinging back now, next summer a lot of Airlines will be short of crews, ones who are currently sitting fat, dumb, and happy, all with the same post Sep 11 Jet DE CV's whose authors are not interested in moving now everythings settled down!!!!

Can't wait!!

Watch this space!

Congrats Blue Baron, it's finally been worth all the wait.

Any idea which fleet/base you'll be?

Thanks everyone,

I won't know the base until they have had all the contracts returned etc. I want LGW and been told that may be availible come March (online) but not at the moment so maybe Stansted.

Has anyone else heard?

Yeah Ive been told to bend over and take it. They still want to employ me though and I will be on the first course once hell freezes over. It seems it doesnt matter how long you have been in holdpool or even if you had a signed contract the last time. Still, others are being rodgered harder.

Well done BB. Fingers crossed for LGW.

So sign the bloody thing and get it back to them asap - you never know when WW3 might break out.

By the way well done.
