Avionics Training - Pro-Line 21 Course or FSX?

Hello all,

I am going for an interview in an aircraft with Pro-line 21 and I was curious if anyone has discovered an inexpensive way to train on avionics. The courses offered by King and such are around $600, plus they don't run on Macs. So, that means I have to either buy a cheap PC, or run parallels, etc.

How good is FSX for simulator training? I see I can download the specific aircraft plus FSM for around $140. IS FSX avionics simulator realistic? Or is it a far cry from the actual courses?

An help is appreciated. Thank you
