CAE Oxford - Won't reimburse funds

I realize Oxford has a £700 non-refundable deposit, but has anyone else had problems getting the finance department to reimburse their funds, or even return a phone call or e-mail? If so, aside from litigation, is there a way to get ones money back from them?

I had to cancel a course due to a medical issue and for two months I have been attempting to get almost £3000 in refundable money back. I have lost track of the number of times I have called. I usually get voice mail, occasionally speak to someone, but never get a return message. The current excuse is that the funds were sent a month ago, but returned. My bank never saw an attempted transaction and I verified multiple times that the wire instructions were correct. The problem is definitely on their end.

Based on my horrible experience with their customer support in both the finance and scheduling departments (scheduling also doesn't know how to return messages or verify receipt of information) I would highly caution others before considering training with them and becoming contractually obligated financially.

I'm really not surprised to see CAE behaving this way, again!
It was a nightmare when I was there 6 months ago, and by the comments I'm hearing from friends in Oxford and Phoenix things are even worst now.
It's not the first time people are having problems with the finance department, in my opinion you should get a lawyer to deal with these people.
My best advice to you all is to stay away from them, it is not what it used to be anymore.

I would reiterate what this person has said. Think hard, very hard, and then think again, before you give them a penny of your hard earned cash. They become a totally different beast when you try to claim (a very legitimate) refund. And they know the majority of us haven't the means to go legal and they take full advantage.
