Have you considered joining the army or RAF reserve as a means of funding your training? It would give you a small second income that could be used to fund lessons but also it would give you access to a service flying club where you could learn to fly at a discounted rate (£95 per hour dual and £85 solo at my club). You can also use a service club to do night rating and IR(R).

Then seek opportunities to hour build on the cheap such as glider towing or a very cheap share in an aircraft.
