Kitfox (and similar) aircraft for EASA hour building..?

Hi everyone, browsing through the old threads I found this inthe archive where the Kitfox and some other aircraft werementioned for hour building towards the CPL/ATPL:

Question on aircraft for hours building [Archive] - PPRuNe Forums

I have an EASA PPL and passed all 14 EASA ATPL exams at the CAA. I would like to buy a Kitfox and build hours with this airplane. Judging by the old thread linked above, it seems a Kitfox would be OK for hour building in the UK (EU).

Is there a way to be sure that EASA will approve hours of flying with the Kitfox to get to the CPL..? The Kitfox is certificated in the USA as an LSA aircraft and all the hours count (one for one), but would it be the same in the EU when going for the CPL exam? I read the new EU legislation (2014) and it is still unclear where does EASA position the Kitfox as an hour builder. It would be a nasty surprise to build up a hundred hours only to find EASA approves these hours as in ultralights, ten to one hour (ten hours of ultralight flying as one hour of time building towards the CPL/ATPL).

Any info on the Kitfox (or similar aircraft) for EASA time building would be appreciated...
