Class 1 Medical
Hi,
I asked the CAA for confirmation on which pilots license i am eligible for, unfortunately, my eyesight is not good enough to gain a Class 1, but the letter which they sent to me said that I still might be eligible to gain a UK-Recognised Class 1 medical, which is still ICAO recognised.
I haven't been able to find any information about this on the net, does anyone know what it is/what the restrictions would be etc?
Thanks very much

There is a wealth of information at :
Guidance for Medical Certification of aircrew | Medical | Personal Licences and Training
On the bottom there is a vision area :
Also at : Vision | Medical | Personal Licences and Training
You will need to be very familiar with the regulations and AMC from https://easa.europa.eu/acceptable-me...group/part-med
because you will likely need this information to fight your case.
