EASA ATPL Checkride LHS or RHS

Hello

I was curious to know when you upgrade from CPL to ATPL during the checkride, do you have to seat on LHS mandatory or can it be done on the RHS??

I did it in the SIM so don't know for sure, but it's a licence upgrade, not a rank upgrade. You're still an FO, so right seat.

Either seat

The LST can be done from either seat. The licensing rules don't stipulate which seat you're qualified to operate in. For commercial air transport it's an operator' responsibility to qualify you to operate in one seat or the other (or both).

I dit it from right seat, less than two years ago. No objections from CAA even though it was all documented for RH.

It can be, and normally is, done from the RHS, because your company will probably require you to have the document in hand before you start your command upgrade training and you begin actually sitting in the left.
