Visa to go flight school in US

I'm very eager to travel to America to train to become a commercial pilot I meet all the requirements n there is literally nothing stopping me however I have one factor I'm worried about. Over a year ago me and some mates (no longer friends) went for a night out unfortunately he drank way too much which led to him getting into conflict with other people and me being in the middle trying to diffuse everything eventually I managed to diffuse the situation and we began making our way to the train station to find the police waiting for us turned out during the little brawl he managed to grab his mobile phone for no good reason and resulted in all three of us getting arrested I explained to the officers I had nothing to do with the robbery and they did believe me knowing I was not aware of why they stopped us until they came across the phone in my mates pocket now all he had to do is vouch for me as he truly knows himself he was in for it on his own turned out he was in such a state he slagged the officers off and all three of us were charged with robbery I was given jail time which I then appealed and I was told my name was cleared when the actual victim came forward and vouched for me however on my police certificate this offence is still here. Do you think I still have any chance of getting a visa (M1)

Now that didn't take more than 5 seconds to find on an official US government website.

In practise it is all down to individual officers discretion.

You must declare it if it is on your record. The US/UK share this information so they will be able to see it.

Lying means you will be denied, and that then counts as fraud under Moral Turpitude which definitely means you will be denied entry at future attempts.

You might well get a visa but you will face the same issue when it comes to getting a job. You should consider if it is possible to get this removed if the facts are as you say they are, before committing money, effprt and time to become a commercial pilot. The odds of getting a job are low enough a it is without having issues such as this to deal with. Even if you dont tell your employer, the first ramp id you apply for will turn this up.

How did you do 'jailtime' for that? Hard to believe they threw you in jail for that!

Friendly tip - if you want to convince people you're a valuable member of society don't use the terms 'slagging off' lol.
