I'm applying for selection at CTC in Dec and looking for any revision suggestions

It's been a long time since I've done maths work so my current plan is to do a lot of mental arithmetic practice and to build an understanding on how the plane works, compass and heading work etc.

I've also got a lot of CAE Oxford specific information about the selection days but I'm worried that it would actually be detrimental to use those because I'm sure the structures will be different between the two schools.

So i was just wondering if anyone on here would suggest focusing on a certain things, or if there's a few things that are essential to understand for CTC.

Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot for both of your posts, will take a look at that subscription site. It's definitely what I need because I've been struggling finding good ways to practice my maths without repeating the same questions over and over.

@FightFire, that's really unfortunate about failing on the group interviews man, sorry to hear it. Are you planning on trying again? Hope it works out for you if you do!

@Charif

Have a search for 'pilot aptitude tests' on this forum and Google, you'll find a wealth of information available.

Furthermore, I recommend popping down to your local library and reading up your mental maths, this be of great benefit to you when sitting the assessment.

Good luck.

@portvale ,actually during my interview the examiner has never asked me about CTC Wings stuff, the main question were about my past jobs,team working and leadership experience , and a pretty weird question about the details of my future ordinary day as a pilot. "Ok you enter in the airport,now what do you do? Ok You have reached your captain in the briefing room,now what do you do?Ok now you are on the plane,in which moment do you embark the cabin crew?" and so on. Also some questions about how to save fuel ,how to improve the customer care ecc.

@Charif , Ill try again to CTC in march,because i've found a very professional and serious enviroment, but im also waiting for the response of my application from Jerez,which assestment will be the next month.

Brain training/mental arithmetic. A little every day in the run up to your assessment will pay off. There are some good phone apps for when you have a spare 5 minutes.

Know your weaknesses. Be ready to talk about them - an example of when you have tried to overcome them.

Take cod liver oil, its good for the noggin.
